Our emergence program helps communities whose lives have been affected by poverty and other natural disasters. In this period we are helping those affected with the Covid -19 pandemic.
We promote the rights of children and we also support children who are in a vulnerable position in communities through reporting cases of child abuse such as rape, defilement, teenage pregnancies among others….
We promote academics and economic self reliance among orphaned families and the communities infested with poverty.
We promote community based health care, nutrition, water and environmental sanitation among people in communities.
We increase general awareness among all categories of people on HIV/AIDS and its related problems with specific attention to children.
We believe that preaching the gospel is a greatest command from God that’s why we take it as part of our responsibility to draw more people to God….

GITRE is acronym of GIVEN TO REJOICE MINISTRIES which was born in 2016 until it’s registration in 2018 as Community Based Organization with Iganga District Local Government CDO office under Uganda Local Government by law of the republic.
GITRE Ministries was born from John 3:16 which states the sacrifice of God’s love for the entire humanity. For God so loved the world that He gave; this statement propels us to believe that to change the world we need love.
And love through deeds is what brings a meaningful transformation and a lasting change.
